About Bryan

I’m a Columbus, Ohio-based filmmaker and video editor with a lifelong passion for filmmaking. My love for cinema began when my mother took me to see Toy Story 2 in theaters. The darkened theater, trailers, studio logos, and the film itself clicked for me like second nature. Since then, countless films have led me on my journey to use film’s power to shift perspectives and connect people.

This was kindly taken on the set of a 48-hour film set. I was tasked with capturing some B-roll during a scene. Then I became the B-roll… B-roll-ception?

I began editing short films on Windows Movie Maker in 2005, right as YouTube launched. This exposed me to new ways video was evolving on the web. I created gaming videos and music videos for fun, before advancing to iMovie in high school through a production class. By sophomore year, our class upgraded equipment, and I started learning Final Cut Pro. I directed and edited a semester-long News Show as my capstone project.

I pursued filmmaking at The Ohio State University through the Moving-Image Production Program, where I mastered the Adobe suite (Premiere Pro & After Effects) and discovered unique film voices from around the world. I deepened my love for narrative storytelling and passion for video editing. I made short films exploring human connection, inspired by Moonlight by Barry Jenkins; Uncut Gems by The Safdie Brothers; and The Prestige by Christopher Nolan. Through the Mad Royal Film Society, I led production meetings, mentored new members, and produced multiple short films. I also acted in a stage play at OSU my senior semester, worked on various independent films, and PA’d for production companies like Good Deed Entertainment in Ashland, Ohio.

My experience since has spanned editing a local broadcast tv show in Columbus; Social Media brand video production to 100,000 viewers; live event capture for renowned artists; and countless filmmaking endeavors. I’m producing films of my own, editing projects on the side, and continuously looking for creative collaboration. Recent projects I’m excited to show off soon include: editing a TV pilot adaptation from a comic artist; a community-focused horror short film about social justice; and video campaigns for the Dublin Arts Council in Dublin, Ohio.

I’m compelled by meaningful, unique stories with passionate individuals. Please reach out through my email or social media if you’re interested in video editing work or filmmaking collaboration.

“Keep on, keeping on.”
